The River Dart Rotary Club is delighted to announce the successful delivery of approximately 1 million ECG electrodes to hospitals in Ukraine, providing vital support for cardiac monitoring of both civilian patients and wounded military personnel during this ongoing crisis.

This life-saving donation was generously provided by Nissha Medical Technologies (UK), a leading global manufacturer of high-quality medical devices. The electrodes are essential for routine heart monitoring, emergency interventions, and long-term care – resources that remain in desperately short supply across Ukrainian healthcare facilities.

We are especially grateful to the following partners who made this possible:

  • Nissha Medical Technologies and Wayne Harper for their extraordinarily kind donation.
  • Hereford Elgar Rotary Club for their invaluable collaboration and coordination.
  • ABE Transport Ltd for collecting the pallets from Nissha’s warehouse and delivering them free of charge  to the drop of point in Hereford for them to be forwarded on all the way to the Rotary Club of Ukraine Unity in Lviv

From Lviv, the electrodes are now being distributed by the Rotary Club of Ukraine Unity to hospitals throughout the country where they are needed most.

This project demonstrates the true spirit of Rotary – people of action working together across clubs, districts, and borders to make a real difference. A huge thank you to everyone involved; your generosity will help save lives and ease suffering in Ukraine.
